Donna Chambers, Director Donna Chambers received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Texas Tech University. During her tenure of 20 years with Lubbock Independent School District (LISD), Donna directed many choirs to Sweepstakes honors in University Interscholastic League competition. She has also served as a choral clinician, and UIL judge. Her favorite time with LISD was spent leading the "Panjammers", the highly acclaimed show choir of Dunbar High School. Donna has directed The Singing Women of West Texas since its beginning in 1994. The Chambers Family Singers, consisting of Donna, husband Jim, sons Jerry and Jamie, and daughter Leslie, have all been very active in Southern Baptist music and have performed as a family throughout the U.S. Jim is a retired Minister of Music. Jerry serves at Meadowbrook Church in Redmond, Washington, and has lead music at Interlaken, Switzerland, for the European Baptist Assembly, and also for Christian conferences in Viet Nam and Thailand. Jamie plays drums, and sings with a band in Houston. Leslie continues her singing with her local church in Lodi, California, as well as professionally, and she sings with The Singing Women of West Texas, when possible. Jerry, Jamie and Leslie have beautiful, talented families, of which Jim and Donna are the very proud grandparents.
Lisa Gentry Lisa Gentry is a 1988 graduate of Wayland Baptist University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree with an emphasis in Music Education. Lisa accepted the Lord into her life at the age of eight at the First Baptist Church of Crosbyton. She became that same church's pianist while only in the eighth grade. Lisa is currently teaching elementary music at Lorenzo Elementary and teaches several students privately. She is church pianist at Trinity Baptist Church in Lubbock.
